Reorientation 🌟 Returning 🌟 Restoring 🌟

As a Farmher, I have found it most beneficial to garden by consulting with what is above that shines down upon us. There is truth and rhythm to those old farmer's almanacs that provided support for hearth, home, and heart.
Therefore, from a Farmher's perspective let's breathe deep and look up to bask in the light of what is above us.
Now, let's step way back to zoom out as if you are looking at the whole solar system. As a point of reference, this is helpful to see where we are in space and time. Ancient methods of cultivation and navigation consulted with what is above that shines on us. Knowledge as old as time, by contrast to the human life cycle. So, we are gonna put a pin down to mark the here and now for that widened imagery.
Where are the Sun and Moon in the sky above you? Why does it matter to garden by the Moon, Planets, and Sun? Does this feel a lil whoo whoo for you? Tried and true gardening can be supported by seeing through a bigger view of what season you are currently flowing through. Gardening by using this methodology compliments the cycle of life during each growing season for the garden and the gardener.
Flow toward thinking of an almanac more as a field guide, offering perspective on any given day. The Moon, Sun and Planets do have pull and weight whether we feel or understand if this is true or not. We can assume so, based on how the Moon governs emotions, tides, and waters as an example. And of course the Sun guiding the seasons for the the Earth.
Those old Farmer's Almanacs did include the zodiac signs to mark the season as a point of reference for holistic care. Specifically for year 2026, as the Sun moves into Pisces season on February 18, a gathering of personal planets pause in this final water sign of the zodiac, marking the end of a cycle. It is a season where many currents meet. The North Node, Venus, the Moon, Mercury, and later Mars all travel through these waters together, creating a concentrated tide of completion, intuition, and subtle reorientation.
When multiple celestial bodies are in the same element it is heightened and amplified. Not to mention, these are all personal planets, signifying they are moving with your signature tempo. Add to this a Full Moon Eclipse, this current offers a flow with the intangibility of timing as less linear and more tidal. Developments unfold in ways that feel guided rather than forced. Around the beginning of this season, there may be moments that feel fated, not dramatic but deeply aligned.
In the language of A Life Practice, this is a watershed season.
Also known as Pisces Season. Which invites surrender not as collapse, but as conscious release. It asks us to soften the grip, to notice where exhaustion has been normalized, where over giving has thinned the soil, and where boundaries need gentle tending. This is a season for retreat, restoration, and sacred pause.
Mature Pisces energy honors sensitivity as intelligence. It recognizes intuitive and creative gifts as forms of stewardship. It practices discernment without shame. It allows compassion to include the whole self. Especially the shadows.
With Mercury retrograde moving through Pisces for much of this season, the tempo naturally slows. Communication may blur or drift. This is not failure. It is an invitation to clarify gently, to speak less and listen more, and to allow the mind to rest like a field left fallow before planting.
Overall, this season offers a threshold moment. A chance to release what cannot be controlled. A time to honor endings with reverence. An opportunity to deepen trust in unseen currents and realign with what feels peaceful, nourishing, and true.
Before the Spark of Life, aka Aries rises from the slumber of sleep in the soil below, we are asked to float, to cleanse, to recalibrate. See how the rains prepare the soil for the next growing season. You too, need space to feel a renewal and refresh. Mid Winter to Early Spring is the perfect time to dream, opening up space for creativity to flow naturally. Sit with it just a little longer my friend.
Mid Winter into Early Spring is a season offering time for stillness and knowing. Reconciliation is available for the unseen wounds. Space for tending to your own heart and soul as a reminder to yourself that, "Somewhere this all makes sense so, let me just let it go with a loving send off." Into the rains, through the soils, collected at the confluence, entering the flow of the current.
Soften and listen, the wounds are naturally being washed through the rains. Be still and know that it takes time to move through. Self compassion is imperative here to slow down. Remember that it is all set in its proper time and place. In the now, this current season is a perfect begin again. Dream your world from renewal.
Go outside to lift your face to sky. Breathe it in. Return to the here and now. Rinse the belly out with deep breaths. Soften into listening. In the quiet, there is a trickling gentle stream thawing before Spring's emergence. 🌙
Give yourself compassion and grace this current season, then cover over that with a whole bunch of patience. Namaste` lovely souls.
